For those of you unsure a blog is a news message part on your website and you can blog about news related to you and your industry. Google alerts is a good resource to get insightful tips about what to blog about.

If you haven’t got a blog facility for your website, I would recommend you create one, a good informative blog is a good way to encourage people to actually return to your website and search engines absolutely love it as well.

You may already be using another analytics package but I would recommend Google Analytics which is the most popular.

It’s a measurement tool to assess the impacts of user habits so you can test your website accordingly.

Users / New users – new and returning visitors to your website

Sessions – user interactions a visitor takes

Bounce rate – when someone lands on a single page and exits without going on another page

Page sessions – how many users visited a page or bought items from that page

Average session duration – the average time spent
